The AVM journey as told by Dörte, IT Services Data Analyst

I joined AVM in 2020, straight after my mathematics degree. I was very well looked after right from the start. AVM places a lot of trust in its employees. Goals are clearly defined, but we can decide how we get there. At AVM, I get to enjoy all the freedom you find in a startup combined with the security of working for a large company.

Quality assurance and a research mindset

When I first joined, I shared responsibility for the statistical evaluation and classification of crash reports generated by FRITZ!Box devices. After switching jobs internally, my work expanded to include many other data sources. One example is that I now analyze the anonymous usage data and user numbers from the FRITZ!Apps, which provides insights into how the apps are performing in terms of user-friendliness. This data analysis makes it easier for my colleagues to identify relationships and optimize our products. I like the way our team gets to collaborate with many different departments. I also enjoy trying out new tools and adapting them to our requirements. This means I read a lot of specialist literature, as well as doing my own research, so to speak.

Shared passions

There's a considerable team spirit here. Everyone puts their heart and soul into the FRITZ! products, which makes the work environment feel very alive and motivating. Our team leader supports us wonderfully and we always interact as equals. You can also feel the appreciation throughout the entire company. Creativity, along with an ability to be proactive and take initiative are welcome. The company isn't built around rigid structures, and there's an incredible summer party every year – just to name a couple of examples. I really enjoy working at AVM.
